We invite you to the first Humanities Colloquium on Thursday, 12.03 at 15.00 on p. 52 in Collegium Novum.

We invite all PhD students and researchers to the first meeting of the "Colloquia humanities" series at the Doctoral School in the Humanities at the Jagiellonian University.

The first test, during which prof. dr hab. Ryszard Nycz (Faculty of Polish Studies of the Jagiellonian University) will give a lecture entitled "In search of the formula of contemporary culture: the culture of participation and its dominants", will be held on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 15.00 in room 52 at Collegium Novum.

Summary:
In the first part of the lecture, the author proposes to consider the specifics of contemporary cultural experience in relation to its earlier models: the objectivist modern culture and post-modern culture of participation. In the second part, however, a program of research on contemporary culture of participation will be outlined in the perspective of its four dominant properties: passivity, present (recentity), immersion and testimoniality.
