My name is Fatma Edemen. I have a BA in Journalism from Ankara University in Turkey and a MA in Cultural Studies: Comparative Heritage Studies (COHES) from the Jagiellonian University. I am a PhD student in the Studies on Arts programme, researching Kurdish film festivals in Europe and particularly their roles and curatorial choices in the construction of national and transnational cinema. I am a festival worker myself and have been working for the Flying Broom International Women's Film Festival (Ankara) since 2017. I have also worked as a journalist for a number of years.
